The NSW Clay Target Association Inc is responsible for administering, promoting and developing the sport of Clay Target Shooting in New South Wales. The site is providing our internet members and clubs with valuable information that keeps them up to date with the latest information and news regarding our sport and also provides reference to any current events and activities within our state.
Clay Target Shooting offers many types of disciplines which gives our members the choice of what suits them best.
Disciplines include; DTL also known as Trap, Skeet, Tower, Ball Trap, Sporting Clays, ISSF Trap, ISSF Double Trap and ISSF Skeet.
Competition events are usually run in graded sections AA-A-B-C which provides a stable competition experience for our shooters. We also have sections for Ladies, Veterans and Juniors.
Each year we have our Club Championships/Carnivals of which the best at these carnivals attend their respective Zone Championship/Carnivals to compete, from there the best then go to the State Championships/Carnivals to compete against other zones. The best from the State Championships/Carnivals then go onto the National Championships. If we are competitive enough any of our shooters that become members of the Australian Teams then go on to represent our Country.
